Who We Are The South African Mining Association (SAMA) is a representative organisation established to protect, advance and promote the interests of traditional authorities and their communities in relation to mining and mineral development throughout South Africa. SAMA serves as a bridge between communities, investors, government institutions and mining companies to ensure that mining contributes directly to socio-economic development, responsible environmental stewardship and community beneficiation.
Vision To become the leading and most influential mining representative organisation advocating for sustainable and inclusive mineral development on traditional and communal land throughout South Africa and the African continent.
